This afternoon we are off!! Serious excitement right now. Myself, my gorgeous girlfriends; Toni and Eileen, and a few boys (brothers and friends) are heading to Ohakune at 4pm this afternoon. It’s Mardi Gras time!
But alas, as I sit here the rain is pouring. Damn typical huh? I really hope the weather is nicer down south. When I return there will be photos of the chaos, snowboard injuries – as I attempt to cross #88 off my list, (weather permitting – damnit!) and road trip antics. Watch this spot.

First time snowboarding? Good luck! I had fun my first time, but DAMN did my bottom hurt from falling all over the mountain. My friend gave me one piece of advice, which was to basically fall on your ass. Don’t try to catch yourself with your hands (because then you’ll really f*ck up your wrists) and falling on your knees is going to hurt like hell.
